DENR to monitor programs projects

The monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects of the DENR in the Executive order No. 816 "Declaring the River Basin Control Office under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources as the Lead Government Agency for Integrated Planning, Management, Rehabilitation and Development of the Country's River Basins" signed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on July 6, 2009 .

The executive order, a copy of which was obtained by the DENR Regional Public Affairs Office (RPAO) takes effect fifteen (15) days after its complete publication in a national paper of general circulation and fifteen (15) days after registration with the office of the National Administrative Register.

Under the Order, the RBCO is mandated as the oversight agency for all government efforts and initiatives with the country's river basins. (ASA)
